Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sayan sits down with Michelle Bader Ebersole, author of Widow Goals, certified grief recovery specialist, and founder of the nonprofit Widow Goals. Together they unpack what it really looks like to rebuild your life after loss, whether that loss is a spouse, a relationship, a home, or even a former version of yourself.
Michelle shares how she went from being a 41 year old widow with three kids to leading retreats, running a nonprofit, and hosting the Widow Too Soon podcast. She explains why grief shows up in the body as anxiety and exhaustion, why “feeling it to heal it” is non negotiable, and how simple daily practices like gratitude can literally rewire your brain.
This conversation is honest, faith centered, and practical. It speaks directly to entrepreneurs, leaders, and everyday humans who are functioning on the outside but quietly carrying loss on the inside. If you have ever wondered whether peace is possible again after everything has changed, this episode will give you language, tools, and hope you can actually use in real life.

About The Guest:
Michelle Bader Ebersole is an author, speaker, and certified grief recovery specialist who became a widow at 41 while raising three teenagers. Out of that experience she created Widow Goals, a nonprofit that supports widows and widowers through community, coaching, and practical tools for rebuilding life after loss.
She is the author of “Widow Goals: Steps to Finding Peace When You Lose Your Spouse”, host of the Widowed 2 Soon podcast, and a grief group facilitator who helps people unpack all kinds of grief, not only death. Through faith, neuroscience informed practices, and real talk about pain, Michelle guides people from barely surviving to living with purpose again.

Key Takeaways:
Grief is not only about death. It is the emotional response to any significant loss or change. Divorce, moving, a lost pet, or losing a version of yourself all count as grief.
In early grief, it feels like constant storm clouds. Over time, if you do the work, small “sunny moments” return. A first genuine laugh or a simple moment of joy is often the turning point from pure pain toward purpose.
Suppressing emotions keeps you stuck. Healing requires feeling the grief fully. You cannot go around it, you cannot go over it, you have to go through it. Tears are not weakness, they are movement.
Grief impacts the body and mind. After witnessing her husband’s death, Michelle experienced intense health anxiety and physical symptoms. This is a common but often misunderstood stage of grief related anxiety.
Simple daily gratitude is a powerful brain rewiring tool. Writing down three things you are thankful for each night trains your mind to look for what is still good, instead of only scanning for what is missing.
Giving back accelerates healing. When you pour into others who share your kind of loss, you create a ripple of hope that helps you as much as it helps them. Many “baby widows” Michelle supported now lead their own groups.
Grief work is active, not passive. Like a flat tire, your grief will not “get better in a year” if you do nothing. Books, counseling, grief recovery programs, podcasts, and support groups are the work that moves you forward.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sayan sits down with psychotherapist, spiritual teacher and mystic Catia Batalha to unpack what real healing looks like when you stop separating mind, body and soul. Instead of choosing between therapy or spirituality, Catia explains how yoga, Tantra, mindfulness and Western psychology can work as one integrated system for mental health, trauma recovery and spiritual growth.
You will hear a very grounded breakdown of psychosomatic symptoms. How headaches, back pain, skin issues and chronic tension often signal emotional overload or misaligned environments. Catia also unpacks the sacred feminine and sacred masculine. How listening, intuition and sensitivity need to be backed by aligned action, boundaries and responsibility.
If you are exhausted by surface level self-care and want a more honest, embodied roadmap, this conversation gives you a practical, spiritually aware framework you can actually apply in daily life.
About The Guest:
Catia Batalha is a psychotherapist, spiritual teacher, author and mystic who bridges Eastern wisdom and Western psychology. After years of feeling disconnected and numbing out with alcohol, she found yoga and Tantra. That work helped her move from emptiness and suicidal thoughts into a life aligned with soul purpose.
Catia now teaches globally on chakras, somatic trauma healing, sacred feminine and masculine balance, intuition and consciousness, helping people remember their wholeness instead of trying to “fix” what feels broken. She is the author of “Echoes of the Timeless”, where she shares her own journey of awakening and the practices that rebuilt her inner world from the ground up.
Key Takeaways:
Healing works best when it is holistic. Catia shows how combining yoga, Tantra, mindfulness and psychotherapy creates deeper change than focusing on the mind or body in isolation.
Your body is not the problem. It is the messenger. Headaches, back pain, menstrual pain, tension and skin issues can be early warning signals that your relationships, work or environment are not aligned with your emotional reality.
We cannot out-think our emotions. The mind can insist “I am fine” while the nervous system is overwhelmed. Ignoring that gap leads to stress, burnout and psychosomatic illness.
Sacred feminine and sacred masculine must work together. The feminine side listens, feels, intuits and receives guidance. The masculine side takes aligned action, builds structure and brings those insights into the world without controlling or suppressing them.
Love is a nervous system strategy, not a cliché. When we treat love, compassion and safety as core conditions, the body can finally stop bracing and start healing.
Spiritual practice can redirect rock bottom. Yoga and Tantra helped Catia shift from feeling half-alive, drinking heavily and considering suicide, into teaching, writing and leading courses that support others.
Purpose is about contribution, not perfection. The real question becomes. how can my story and my healing process make life better for other people.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Yusuf sits down with Jessica Rennard, Chief Merchandising Officer at HELPSY and long-time resale innovator, for a real conversation on what sustainable fashion actually looks like behind the scenes. They dig into the tension between mission and margins, how circular fashion and resale really work in practice, and why keeping clothes out of landfills is more complex than any tagline. This is a grounded look at circular fashion, resale, and the clothing reuse economy, including what happens when ethics cost money, why brands still overproduce, and how consumers can buy with more intention. If you care about sustainable fashion, circular economy, mental health of founders, ethical leadership, and conscious consumption, this episode gives you practical questions to ask yourself the next time you hit “buy now”.

About the Guest  :
Jessica Rennard is Chief Merchandising Officer at HELPSY, a certified B Corp focused on clothing reuse and circular solutions. She has spent years building the resale and returns ecosystem, from launching her own secondhand business to scaling circular returns models for brands. Jessica is known for her no-nonsense perspective on sustainability. She focuses on real impact, not green marketing.

Key Takeaways:
Sustainable fashion is still business. Companies like HELPSY must stay profitable while trying to keep clothing out of landfills, which means constant trade offs between mission and margins.
Circular fashion works best when companies find a clear model that balances profitability and sustainability, such as circular returns where brands send returns directly to a reuse partner.
Doing the right thing sometimes costs money. Paying to repair or recycle damaged items is not always “financially smart”, yet it is essential if a company claims to be sustainable.
There is still confusion over who owns responsibility. Brands, consumers, governments, and manufacturers all touch a garment, but no single sector has fully claimed end of life accountability.
Secondhand and resale extend a garment’s life, but they do not automatically reduce overproduction. If every secondhand purchase is matched with a new one, the system stays linear.
Consumers play a key role. Choosing purposeful purchases and planning what will happen to an item when you are done with it are powerful, practical steps.
A simple rule. Before buying, ask where that piece will go next. Donate to trusted nonprofits or reuse partners instead of sending clothing to the trash.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty sits down with Dr. Danielle Griffin, TEDx speaker and author of Somatic Exercise Made Simple, to unpack a hard truth. Your calendar is not the problem. Your nervous system is.
Together they break down why “managing stress” keeps high achievers stuck in survival mode, how chronic tension in the jaw, neck, shoulders and sleep patterns signals burnout, and why somatic exercise plus hypnotherapy gives leaders a practical, science backed path to regulation.
If you are an executive, entrepreneur or high performer who has tried mindset hacks and productivity tools and still feels wired, exhausted and emotionally reactive, this conversation shows you how breathwork, micro movements and subconscious reprogramming can reset your body so your leadership and performance can finally feel sustainable

About the Guest  :
Dr. Danielle Griffin is a TEDx speaker, award winning author of Somatic Exercise Made Simple and the founder of Good Life Coaching by Danielle. With a doctorate in organizational leadership plus training in hypnotherapy, somatic healing and yoga, she helps executives and entrepreneurs translate neuroscience and embodiment into simple daily practices that reduce stress, prevent burnout and support long term leadership performance.

Key Takeaways:
Chronic stress is not just “a busy season”. It is a nervous system stuck in survival mode, which over time shows up as jaw clenching, tight shoulders, poor sleep and chronic fatigue that hurts performance.
“Managing” stress by pushing through projects and waiting for life to calm down does not work. The body keeps a running record of unprocessed stress and will eventually express it through pain, anxiety or burnout.
Somatic awareness helps high achievers notice early signals in the body. Tension patterns become data you can act on, not something you ignore until you crash or snap at people you lead.
Hypnotherapy is presented as a deeper form of guided meditation that uses relaxation and imagery to help the subconscious rewire stress loops, without stage like tricks or loss of control, keeping it aligned with wellness content standards.
Simple micro practices like ninety second breathing resets, progressive relaxation around the eyes and jaw, and gentle movements at your desk can be integrated into any workday without sacrificing productivity.
Regulated leaders are less reactive and communicate more clearly. A calm nervous system is a competitive advantage in business, relationships and mental health across every platform where this episode is shared.

Send us Fan MailOn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sayan sits down with executive coach, speaker, cancer survivor and author Pamela Cass to unpack what really happens when burnout stops being a buzzword and starts threatening your life. Pam shares how a routine dental visit, a terrifying blood pressure reading and her history with cancer forced her to choose between a secure executive role and being alive for her kids and grandkids.
They dig into why high achievers ignore the early signs of burnout, how tying your worth to your title and salary quietly erodes your health, and what it actually looks like to walk away from a six-figure position and rebuild work, money and identity from scratch. This is a direct, no fluff conversation about values, boundaries, time, and why your body will always tell the truth even when your LinkedIn looks flawless.
About the guest  :
Pamela Cass is an executive coach, speaker, Realtor, podcast co host of Reignite Resilience, and co author of The Quiet Gift: A Journey of Self Worth and Resilience, a book about self worth, healing and finding your voice after feeling unseen.
A cancer survivor, single mom and dyslexia advocate, Pam brings lived experience to her work with leaders and high performers who are done sacrificing their health and relationships for a job title. Today she helps people recognize burnout before it becomes a medical crisis and supports them in building careers that finally align with their real values.
Key takeaways:
Burnout is not just feeling tired. For Pam it showed up as stage 2 hypertension, dread on Sunday nights and a body that was done pretending everything was fine.
Many high achievers anchor their worth to job titles, salary and status. That identity trap keeps them stuck in roles that quietly damage health, relationships and mental wellbeing.
A cancer diagnosis and later a life threatening blood pressure reading made Pam face a hard binary choice. Stay comfortable in a salaried executive role or risk not being there for her kids and future grandkids.
Rebuilding meant using her existing skills in coaching, teaching and speaking, leaning on her network, and owning the fear of starting over instead of letting it drive her choices.
Pam treats herself as the CEO of her life. Every Sunday she runs a meeting with herself to plan the week, putting non negotiables like morning quiet time, exercise and family first, then letting work fill in around those big rocks.
Common burnout signals include constant busyness, inability to rest, sleep issues, loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, withdrawing from friends and ignoring what your body keeps trying to say.
You can always find another job. You cannot replace your health, time with your kids, or years lost to misaligned living. That reality check is often the real turning point.

Send us Fan MailThis Healthy Mind, Healthy Life episode drills into high-performance anxiety, fame pressure, and the operational systems behind kindness with rock drummer, creator, Emmy-nominated TV personality, and author Justin Spencer. From panic attacks at 19 to 8,000+ shows, Vegas residencies, and founding the Chaos and Kindness movement, Justin breaks down how to run at scale without combusting internally. This conversation gets tactical. We unpack reframing anxiety as data, using constraints like ATL airport as a creative incubator, and treating kindness like a system instead of a feel-good buzzword. For listeners balancing ambition with nervous-system realities, this one’s a strategic reset.
About the Guest:
Justin Spencer is a rock drummer, founder of Recycled Percussion, Emmy-nominated TV creator, author of Terminal Anxiety, and the visionary behind the Chaos and Kindness movement. Known for massive stages, humanitarian impact, and unapologetic authenticity, his work blends creativity, service, and mental health awareness at scale.
Key Takeaways  :
Anxiety doesn't always disappear. Treat it as data. Not a flaw.
High-performing brains can also be high-compassion engines when systems are intentional.
Panic attacks and chronic anxiety don't disqualify you from world-class work. They shape your operational style.
ADHD-driven creativity can become a superpower if supported with structure.
The quiet moments often trigger more anxiety than the big stages. Build routines to manage both.
Kindness can be systemized with logistics, budgets, planning, and team alignment. Not just vibes.
Purpose, sleep, and fitness are the non-negotiable trifecta for long-term emotional sustainability.
Creativity thrives under constraints. Justin’s 3-week ATL airport writing challenge proves that boundaries create breakthroughs.
Generosity is a lifelong strategy. Not a PR stunt. Kindness becomes an anchor during internal chaos.
Nervous system regulation is leadership. Put your recovery on the calendar before your collapse forces it.

Send us Fan MailIn this Healthy Mind Healthy Life episode, Avik sits down with author and advanced meditator Chanoa Inez to unpack what it really takes to rise from profound loss. This conversation gets straight to the point. How do you get out of emotional wreckage. How do you stop shrinking your dreams after heartbreak. How do you reconnect with authentic joy instead of forcing surface-level happiness. Chanoa shares how losing her partner overnight pushed her into years of numbness, grief, health struggles and self-abandonment before she found a path back to self-trust, boundaries, self-love and true embodiment. Her insights bridge healing, identity, brand magnetism and the courage to be fully yourself again.
About the Guest  :
Chanoa Inez is an advanced meditator, author of Dream On and creator of Magnetize Your Personal Brand. Her work helps people rebuild from the inside out, reconnect with their truth and attract aligned opportunities through authenticity. Her journey through sudden loss, deep grief and reinvention now serves as a guide for those ready to rise again.
Key Takeaways  :
Grief distorts decision-making and often pushes people into shrinking their dreams instead of rebuilding bigger.
You cannot skip feeling your pain. Avoiding it only prolongs the healing timeline.
Joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness can be faked. Joy cannot.
Boundaries, self-respect and pattern awareness are foundational for emotional reconstruction.
Self-talk is often harsher than anything we'd ever say to a friend. Changing this accelerates healing.
Authenticity is the most powerful professional strategy because energy attracts opportunities beyond industry lines.
Wearing a “professional mask” is rooted in fear. When you drop the mask you magnetize the right people and repel the wrong ones.
Reinvention happens in quiet moments not dramatic breakthroughs.
Self-love is a practice that compounds. The more you choose yourself the more you can show up for others.
Your story becomes powerful service only after you’ve integrated the pain not while you’re drowning in it.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of Healthy Mind Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty sits down with author and entrepreneur John O’Shea to decode the reality of living with ADHD and dyslexia from inside the storm. This conversation cuts past the clichés and dives into the lived experience of a fast brain, why success and self-sabotage often coexist, and how discipline becomes the lever for reclaiming stability. The dialogue breaks down the stigma around neurodiversity and reframes it as a high-performance engine that needs the right operating system. John shares his personal crash points, the internal chemistry behind overload, and why failure becomes familiar for many neurodivergent individuals. This episode is raw, strategic, and an essential blueprint for anyone navigating a nonlinear mind in a linear world.
About the Guest  :
John O’Shea is the author of NeuroSpicy, a candid memoir exploring ADHD, dyslexia, resilience, and the emotional labour behind succeeding with a fast brain. With decades of entrepreneurial wins and wipeouts, John offers an honest and practical lens on neurodiversity, discipline, self-regulation, and redesigning your life after hitting rock bottom.
Key Takeaways  :
ADHD often presents as information overload instead of lack of attention.
Success can feel unsafe when your brain is conditioned by years of failure.
Discipline beats motivation. Consistent habits rewire emotional volatility.
Meditation works even for fast brains. Two minutes of quiet is still a win.
Failure becomes familiar because school systems reinforce shame early.
Partners and families need to understand the internal chaos to support effectively.
Neurodivergent individuals excel in entrepreneurship, innovation, and design thinking.
Anger can mask heartbreak and serve as a survival mechanism.
Rebuilding life requires radical self-honesty, sobriety, and structure.
Your brain is a superpower, but it can also burn you down without boundaries.

Send us Fan MailThis episode of Healthy Mind Healthy Life drops straight into the deep end of energetic wellness. We examine the unseen forces shaping mental health, physical symptoms and emotional patterns. Connie Smock, an internationally known psychic medium, intuitive and healer, breaks down how energy blocks form, how they influence overwhelm, anxiety and low vibration cycles, and how clearing them can shift your entire reality. This conversation is raw, practical and designed to help listeners understand the link between emotional patterns, spiritual debris and long term well-being.
About the Guest  :
Connie Smock is a globally recognized psychic medium, intuitive healer and spiritual teacher with 35+ years of experience. She is a certified hypnotherapist, past life regressionist, Reiki Master Teacher, Qigong instructor, life coach, black belt in karate and yoga instructor. Her work blends ancient wisdom with modern energetic techniques to help people clear emotional blocks, heal long standing patterns and reconnect with their higher guidance.
Key Takeaways  :
• Energy affects mental and emotional health more than most people realize and hidden energetic debris can amplify overwhelm and anxiety.• Many emotional patterns and triggers are rooted in energetic imprints carried from childhood, past relationships or even past lives.• Lower energies or unprocessed energetic fields can drain vitality and create mood swings that feel personal but are not.• Empaths and highly sensitive individuals absorb energy faster and need consistent energetic hygiene to stay balanced.• Practices like Reiki, Qigong and deep breathwork help the body release stored emotional toxins and rebuild inner stability.• Hypnotherapy and past life regression can reveal unresolved soul contracts that shape today’s relationships and repetitive patterns.• Healing is not a one time event. It is cyclical like raking leaves in the wind and requires conscious recalibration.• Trust and surrender accelerate emotional recovery and help break fear based loops that keep people stuck.• Spiritual, emotional and physical bodies are interconnected. Clearing one layer shifts all the others.• Connie’s core teaching is that nothing is personal and everything is a soul level classroom for growth.

Send us Fan MailHigh performers love speed. But speed without alignment kills clarity. In this high-impact episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, Sayan sits down with life coach and founder of Silverman Coach, Loren Silverman, to decode why burnout sneaks up on the smartest people in the room. They break down the psychology of overthinking, somatic cues of overwhelm, and why high achievers mistake chaos for productivity.Loren offers a tactical roadmap for listeners. Pause. Reboot. Grow. His framework helps professionals replace mental load with value-based action, set boundaries without guilt, and build momentum with small strategic choices instead of unrealistic overhauls. If you’ve been running on fumes, telling yourself you’re “fine,” this episode gives you a brutally honest reset. Practical. Grounded. Actionable. Exactly what high achievers need to stay human while staying ambitious.
About the Guest:
Loren Silverman is a life coach and founder of Silverman Coach. With nearly two decades in tech and digital transformation, he now helps overwhelmed professionals and self-identified nerds align their values, create boundaries, and build sustainable habits. He is the creator of Life Reboot: Nerd Edition, a 90-day coaching program that blends behavioral psychology with gamification to help people pause, reboot, and grow with clarity.
Key Takeaways:
Burnout isn’t caused by doing too much. It’s caused by being misaligned. When values aren’t driving your decisions, overwhelm builds silently.
Overthinking tricks high achievers into feeling productive. In reality, it’s worry disguised as strategy.
One minute of intentional pause interrupts mental spirals faster than any productivity hack. Don't underestimate micro-rest.
Small, consistent actions outperform dramatic life resets because they rebuild trust with yourself and reduce overwhelm.
Boundaries protect your focus and set mutual expectations. Clear communication prevents emotional leakage and reactivity.
Somatic signs like fatigue, brain fog, irritability, and short breath are early indicators of emotional overload. Listen to them before they escalate.
Delegation is a leadership skill, not a compromise. High achievers burn out when they try to be the “go-to person” for everything.
Gamified coaching frameworks, like Loren’s character-building system, help individuals understand their strengths, energy levels, and personal metrics.
Identifying core values clarifies decision-making and eliminates unnecessary friction.
Alignment is the antidote to burnout. When actions reflect core values, resilience becomes natural instead of forced.

Send us Fan MailThis episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life cuts through the noise and delivers a grounded reality check. What if your biggest performance metric isn't your strategy deck or your calendar. It's your nervous system. Today, Loren Cellentani flips the success script and challenges the hustle mindset with a body-first lens that leaders rarely talk about but desperately need.We unpack the truth behind performing success instead of embodying it, why burnout keeps recycling through the body, how emotions convert into business magnetism, and why many spiritual and high-achieving women get stuck in initiation, imposter and visibility wounds. This episode positions embodiment as a true differentiator. It is an honest breakdown of leadership presence, emotional range, somatic regulation and what actually creates results in the real world.
About the Guest  :
Loren Cellentani is a somatic success strategist, podcast host of The Sovereign Self Show, and a guide for spiritual, high-achieving women who want to lead with presence instead of performance. She helps entrepreneurs break free from the initiation wound, imposter wound and visibility wound so they can embody confidence, regulate their energy and step into authentic leadership.
Key Takeaways  :
Most people perform success instead of embodying it. The real signal is in the body, not the to-do list.
Entrepreneurs often operate from lack, which drives burnout and recycled self-doubt. Presence disrupts that loop.
Emotional regulation before action creates magnetic leadership. Your state drives the outcome.
The initiation wound shows up when women question their right to lead. It is a catalyst, not a setback.
The imposter wound is a somatic cue. It asks you to meet the deeper story underneath the thought.
Visibility wounds surface when nervous systems shut down under attention. Practicing presence rebuilds safety.
Somatic alignment delivers stronger business results than traditional over-strategizing.
Real manifestation happens when leaders slow down, trust and hold energy rather than hustle through fear.
Embodiment creates resonance that clients feel, respond to and invest in.
Entrepreneurship is a personal development initiation. Every emotional trigger is data.

Send us Fan MailThis episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life dives straight into what keeps so many people stuck. Feeling trapped in the same emotional patterns, repeating the same habits, and postponing their dreams can quietly drain years off someone’s life. Liv Colbert, former secondary school teacher turned life, health, and mindset coach, joins Avik to unpack how mindset medicine can interrupt these loops. The conversation explores identity, subconscious programming, identity lag, and the real courage it takes to choose alignment over comfort. This episode brings a grounded, practical, and forward-thinking take on self reinvention across mental health, mindset coaching, and personal transformation.
About the Guest  :
Liv  Colbear  is a certified Life, Health, and Mindset Coach who left her teaching career to rebuild her life with purpose. She specializes in NLP, subconscious reprogramming, and practical mindset work that helps women break unhelpful patterns, strengthen confidence, and create aligned lives without overwhelm. After a year of traveling and redefining her identity, she now empowers others to make decisive, courageous shifts through mindset mastery and self leadership.
Key Takeaways  :
Feeling stuck often comes from subconscious programming that keeps people in familiar patterns even when the conscious mind wants change.
Comfort is often disguised as stability. Reinvention requires stepping into discomfort so a new identity can take shape.
Identity lag is real. The mind needs time to catch up with the new version of you.
Procrastination masked as “one day I’ll do it” is a subtle form of self sabotage.
Awareness is the first step. Mapping repeated emotional patterns or life experiences reveals where subconscious habits drive behavior.
Courage is not the absence of fear. It is choosing alignment despite fear.
You always have a choice. Owning that choice is the foundation of all mindset change.

Send us Fan MailOn today’s episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, we drill into a conversation everyone thinks they understand but barely anyone actually practices. letting go. Author and somatic therapist Melanie Smithson unpacks why the body always knows before the mind does. We challenge the cultural obsession with “move on” advice and explore what real release looks like when it’s built on nervous system safety, curiosity and sensory intelligence. This episode is a grounded walkthrough of somatic practices, emotional processing, letting go without re-traumatizing, and remembering the innate freedom we had as children. Expect a no-fluff exploration of embodiment, stuck emotions, and why playful movement might be one of the most underrated healing tools on the planet.
About the Guest  :
Melanie Smithson is a somatic therapist, movement practitioner, and author of Shake Yourself Free. Her work blends body awareness, emotional release, conscious movement, and playful practices to help people access authentic freedom and process stored emotional patterns.
Key Takeaways  :
Somatic healing starts with listening to where emotions show up in the body
The body whispers first. when ignored, it escalates signals until we pay attention
Many adults lose access to emotional fluidity due to conditioning, not capability
Movement like shaking, grumbling, slow pacing, or free dance supports emotional release
Suppressed childhood emotions often remain stored in the cellular body
Letting go requires vulnerability and nervous system safety, not force
“Hoarding upset” keeps us trapped in old stories while embodiment moves us forward
Safety must come before surrender. emotional processing is not a race
Somatic exploration prevents re-traumatization by meeting sensations exactly as they are
Healing becomes more effective when practices are playful rather than punitive

Send us Fan MailOn this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik sits down with career ownership coach Stephanie Cordes to unpack what really drives stress during career transitions. Spoiler. it is not the change itself, it is the uncertainty. Stephanie breaks down a practical, no fluff framework for moving from fear to informed decision making. She explains how awareness, clear goals, and education can turn anxiety about leaving a corporate role, starting a business, or pivoting careers into strategic clarity. If you are stuck in a job that drains you, burned out from the corporate grind, or curious about business ownership and franchising but scared to even look, this episode gives you structured tools to reduce fear by getting better information. Real talk on mindset, money, work life goals, and why curiosity is the real career superpower.
About the Guest  :
Stephanie Cordes is a career ownership coach with The Entrepreneur Source, a 40 year old organization that helps professionals explore what is next in their careers. After two decades in corporate life and her own experience of burnout and misalignment, she now guides people through a structured discovery process so they can understand their goals, explore vehicles for success, and make informed choices about W 2 roles, consulting, business ownership, or franchising. Her approach is simple. knowledge over fear, data over drama.
Key Takeaways
Stress in career transitions is usually not about the change itself. it is about uncertainty and not knowing your real options
Awareness is step one. get brutally honest about your goals in four areas. income, lifestyle, wealth, and equity, instead of just chasing the next job title
Most people have not revisited their career goals since college. you need to reassess what matters now, not at 18
Reframe “vehicles for success”. W 2 roles, consulting, buying a business, franchises, e commerce, and investing are all different ways to reach the same life goals
Fear often shows up dressed as logic. “It is not the right time” or “I should just be grateful” can be False Evidence Appearing Real if you never gather data
Curiosity is a real career superpower. staying open minded lets you explore paths you have zero prior experience in, which is where most people end up thriving
Confidence comes from information. a structured discovery process, real data points, and validation calls with owners beat gambling your future at the career “craps table”
You can be grateful for your current life and still decide it is time to pivot. gratitude and ambition are not mutually exclusive
